I underwent a Mitral Valuloplasty on June 24th. I watched in real time on a very large monitor over the operating table. The surgeon was very pleased with the procedure,and after an overnight stay in the hospital, I went home the next day. I’ve been home recovering this last week, and will be back to normal activities by July 11th or so. Call to book appointments. Or email me through my website.

July 6th, 2016.

A recent bug kept me at home and triggered my Afib to return,which prompted a visit to my cardiologist.  I’m waiting to do some internal scans to determine my next step, but it seems my reprieve from surgery has ended.  Looks like I’ll be undergoing mitral heart valve replacement surgery within the month. No dates set yet, but I’ll be in recovery for several months, so no saddlery. I’ll keep you posted!

I will be doing repairs and saddlery in my Sudbury workshop up until surgery, but no barn calls!

This May, 2016, will mark 7 years cancer free. My continued thanks and gratitude to everyone who offered prayers and good wishes during my treatment and recovery; more good news; my mitral valve replacement has been postponed as my heart has stabilized with the use of a Beta blocker.    “Love those Beta blockers” !    Plenty os squash playing, and workouts! Yippee!
